I have created a Windows app using PCapDotNet, written C# (using VS2010).
I can create the installer, which installs fine, using InstallShield LE (v2011)
However, whenever I try to run the application I get the following error:
"An unhandkled win32 exception occured in..... on an XP PC with VS Installed ( VS005, 2008 not VS2010)
On anoth er XP machine , I just get the helpful Windows error ".....has encountered anproblem and needs to close." before I even see the startup form
Spec of dev machine:
Operatiing System Windows 7 64bit
VS2010 with C#
Spec of install machines:
Windows XP (SP3)
I have tried installing it on a Windows 7 PC, and although it installs fine, with no errors, the application just fails to run at all.

First I suggest you run the application with a debugger and catch the exception to see what is it and post the call stack.
It seems to me that it might be because of x86 - x64 differences. Your dev machine is 64 bit and your install machines are 32 bit.
I don't know much about installers, but you should try and create an installation for 32 bit (x86), the main difference will be the PcapDotNet.Core.dll file, which is different for x86 (32 bit) systems.
