Reserve TCP Port?

Aug 16, 2011 at 9:43 PM

Long time, nearly a year and wow your library has gone mainstream!  Again congratulations on a great library!  I took up your advice and have read up on networking for the last year!

A bit of a Win32 question that I am hoping you can help me on!!!!
I am constructing TCP and injecting via PCap.Net     How do I let Win32 know that I am using the local port I assign to my TCP packet - so that Win32 does not create its own TCP with the same port?

I know I can reserve them, but I am wondering if you have done any research? any Win32 function etc?

Hi divinci,

Actually, I have no idea.

Sounds that reserving them is a good solution.
