IPv6 support task

Hello,

I wanted to ask if there are any reason why IPv6 packet creation is not supported.
I see that it is one of the asked features (https://pcapdotnet.codeplex.com/workitem/6183).

Is it just lack of people working on it or are there deeper underlying technical reason why this isn't implemented?

I'm asking because I'm considering working on it to create a tool I need.

Hi Ryuho,

IPv6 is being implemented.
It takes a while to implement because it's a relatively complex protocol and because I only work on this in my free time without any compensation.
You can try and download the latest sources and see if what was already implemented already is good enough for your needs.

I'm creating a tool that will generate various packets to test a firewall.
I need the ability to craft IPv6 packets and it seems like the current implementation doesn't support that.

From what I can tell, the PcapDotNet.Packets.IpV6 namespace is missing the IpV6Layer class, which blocks me from crafting the packets I need to make.
I have a feeling this is the exact thing that is currently being implemented.

I think I will use SharpPcap until Pcap.Net supports IPv6 fully.
