integrating pcap.net into commercially developed software

Jan 8, 2010 at 3:19 AM

We are contemplating integrating pcap.net into a commercial software that is about to being development for packet level handling.

We read the BSD license posted at this site... However, we are not quite clear as to what exactly we need to do in order to conform to your License requirement.

Can somebody provide us a clear "to-do" list?

Much thanks,

From wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BSD_licenses#3-clause_license_.28.22New_BSD_License.22.29 ):

"... allows unlimited redistribution for any purpose as long as its copyright notices and the license's disclaimers of warranty are maintained. The license also contains a clause restricting use of the names of contributors for endorsement of a derived work without specific permission."

I believe you can redistribute any form of this code or binaries as long as you include a "COPYRIGHT" file that includes the original license.

I hope this helps you.

If you will integrate Pcap.Net into your commercially developed software, I would like to know that (just curios).
