Should I use x64 or x32

Mar 21, 2012 at 8:42 AM

I'm developing program on x64 windows.
But I target people with x64 and x32.

What should I set for target platform: x64 or x86 or AnyCPU?

Please help me.

You should use x64 for people with x64 and x86 for people with x86.

Basically it depends on the WinPcap version the people install, if they install WinPcap 32 bits you need x86 and if they install WinPcap 64 bits you need x64.

Also, please note the only difference between the projects are the pure .NET libraries, and AnyCPU is only for pure .NET libraries AFAIU.
